A bunch of parents are all upset, after a young african american childs face was replaced with a cartoon in a class picture, after he failed to get a permission slip signed saying he could be in the picture. Honestly, I don't see the issue here. Kid didn't get his slip signed. And you don't wanna make the kid feel awkward, he's at school, you don't want him just watching the picture be taken. At the same time, you don't wanna flat out photoshop him out of the picture either, that'd just look weird. The guy making this found himself between a rock and a hard place. And I don't see whats racist about this, the kid is black. Sure, the face is animated and silly looking, but its not like they made a black kid white, or a white kid black. Honestly, the thing I'd be pissed about if I was the parents is that my son didn't get his permission slip to me, we live in the real world, and elementary school or not, if you don't get in what you need to get in, these are the kinds of things that happen. My real issue is that you need a permission slip to be in a class photo. Like, whos at the helm saying they don't want to get sued for allowing kids to take a picture that every single elementary school ever has been in. Comeon bro, you really think anyone will say no? And if they do say no, then thats an even bigger problem. Sometimes I worry about our citizens, at what point has "PC" gone to far, cause as of right now I say we just call it how we see it, and leave hate aside and see where that lands us, cause I figure that will be a hell of a lot better then just pussy footing around the truth.
