The Red Sox Thumbs

First, Josh Beckett's opening day start is in jeopardy because of an injured thumb, and now closer Andrew Bailey is going to be out to start the season with an injured thumb. I said it then and I'll say it again, Papelbon was worth the money and we should've resined him. Now, instead all we have is an injured closer in Bailey, and a guy that could have been a closer in the starting rotation, in Bard. Looks like it could be another long year of Beer and Chicken in the Red Sox bullpen. Step it up Bobby V, you haven't even managed your first game yet and already the pitching rotation is in shambles. Then again, last time we got a closer from Oakland it all panned out, but I don't have as much patience this time.
