Linsanity
Its been about a month since Jeremy Lin was last mentioned in any conversations I have had, until a couple of days a go when he tore a ligament in his knee. Now, despite the end of the hysteria, Lin managed to sustain a pretty decent month of March. Lin played steadily, despite a coaching change, and a teammate who likes to think he is the point guard, yet does not do a good job at it. In March, Lin averaged 14.6 points, and 6.2 rebounds a game, which are slightly above average numbers for an NBA point guard. If Lin is able to find himself on a team where he can run the show as a point guard, and has good players around him, his numbers should sky rocket. He is only a 23 year old, second year player, with few miles on him. Naturally, Lin seems like a hard worker and with improvement to his skills, and stamina he could become a borderline all-star player. However, I do not think this will ever happen in New York. New York's attempt to buy a Championship has failed miserably, and they appear to be in need of restarting the franchise once again, for the fourth time in the last ten years. The Knicks need good management, which means new management, and they need it now. New York is one of the two or three most difficult cities to play, coach, and manage in, in Professional sports, and until they are able to get a real time manager, a real time coach, and players who's names do not rhyme with Sharmelo Panthony, the will never be a legitimate contender in the East.
